Press Release
Toronto, Canada – 2/18/2026
Independent Financial Brokers of Canada (IFB) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Willis, a WTW Business (Willis Towers Watson) that will bring a refreshed Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance program to our members across Canada.
This partnership follows IFB’s regular review of its member programs and reflects the association’s ongoing commitment to supporting independent financial professionals with tools and resources aligned with the realities of today’s advisory environment.
E&O insurance is a critical safeguard for professional practice and client protection. IFB’s role is to ensure members have access to coverage designed specifically for independent advisors and supported by experienced partners who understand the profession’s risks and responsibilities.
Under the new arrangement, Willis will place and administer both the Financial Advisor and Corporate E&O programs.
Through this partnership, IFB members will benefit from:
Continued access to comprehensive E&O products and coverage options designed to meet evolving needs of independent advisors.
A modern digital platform that makes applying, renewing, and managing policies easy and efficient.
Dedicated national service support team, with licensed professionals available in both English and French.
Ongoing collaboration between IFB, Willis, and insurer partners to ensure coverage remains responsive to evolving professional risks.
In addition, drawing on Willis’s expertise, IFB will continue to deliver education and resources that support advisor’s understanding of E&O coverage, professional liability considerations, and risk awareness.
“At IFB, our priority is to equip independent financial professionals with the best possible support,” said Nancy Allan, IFB’s Executive Director. “WTW’s expertise, technology, and national service capabilities align with our commitment to delivering value and strengthening the independent advisor community. We’re excited about the benefits this partnership will bring to our members.”
IFB will work closely with Willis in the coming months to ensure a seamless transition, with additional updates and resources shared throughout the program’s launch.
We look forward to continuing to provide an efficient and comprehensive E&O solution to independent advisors — one that reflects the high standards of professionalism and service that define the IFB community.
